Solos - Alto Sax, Tenor Sax
An incredibly unique tune, this one begins in the key of E minor and features a simple melodic theme from the saxes. This is followed by a “speed up” section, where there is an accelerando, as well as a modulation to F minor. The new tempo is established, with a challenging trumpet soli that requires the use of double-tongue. After the peak of the section, the tune returns to the original key and tempo for an alto sax solo. Halfway through the solo there is another “speed up” section, this time continuing past the solo into the drum breakdown featuring grouping-of-five band hits. Following this there is a big pause, and a clean cut, before the new tempo is established for the remained of the tune. The final third of the tune is a big tenor sax feature.

This upbeat disco tune features a driving, syncopated introduction from the whole band leading into a light soprano sax melody. The melody is then taken over by some ultra-smooth flugelhorns before a high energy chorus. Solo space for trombone and alto sax. Following solos, drums go into a half-time backbeat feel behind the bands roaring figures. This leads into a stripped back breakdown section where each sections enters gradually, before an 8-bar outro with featuring shredding guitar brings the tune home.

Solos - Trumpet
A challenging tune that blurs the lines between the 2-over-5 polyrhythm. After the 5/4 melody from the trumpet/trombone, the groove settles into 4/4. This leads into a sparse solo section for trumpet which builds gradually before returning to the original 5/4 feel. This leads into an epic climax featuring soaring trumpets and a ultra-challenging sax soli. Following this there is a 16 bar drum outro.

Solos - Tenor Sax, Trombone
This behemoth of a tune is as challenging as it is fun to play. After a high energy intro and a groovy head, there is an open solo section for your tenor player to stretch their legs on. This is followed by an outrageous ‘sax soli’ (which is actually an orchestration of David Goodwin’s keys solo). After a brief segue into 7/8 from the trumpets, there is another open solo, this time for trombone. Following this there is a reprise of the head leading into a pumping full band shout.

Solos - Alto Sax
This tune kicks off with an infectiously catchy sax riff that will stick in your head for weeks. The melody is shared between the sections, leading into an open alto sax solo. The solo section is followed by a drum breakdown with some syncopated hits from the brass. The saxes then bring back the bridge before a final refrain of the chorus (up a minor 3rd).

Solos - Trombone
The tune begins with a warm melodic section from the flugelhorns, before moving into a frantic section featuring arpeggiating saxes and double-time drums. This is followed by a trombone solo in the original slow 3 feel. Following the solo, there is a return of the double-time drums, and then a metric modulation into 4/4. The tune briefly returns to 3 after the breakdown, before a final outro in 4/4.

Solos - Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Bari Sax
This tune kicks off with a driving trombone melody, followed by a brief tranquil interlude from the saxes, and then a return to the original melody by the entire band. Solo space for duelling alto/tenor saxes. Following the slow build of the solo section there is another refrain of the melody before a return to the interlude. This builds into an epic climax, featuring a short solo stretch for the bari sax.
